Pilaballet is a unique fitness method that combines elements of Pilates, African and ballet to create a full-body workout. It’s designed to strengthen and stretch the body, incorporating the grace and elegance of ballet movements with the core-strengthening and flexibility benefits of Pilates. This fusion aims to sculpt long, lean muscles and improve posture, balance, and body awareness.
The method was developed by Tina Thompson, a World/National Fitness Ambassador and Competitor with an extensive background in contemporary dance.
Pilaballet workouts can be intense, focusing on fat burning and muscle toning, and they often use equipment like the Pilates ring to add resistance and challenge to the exercises. It’s suitable for a wide range of fitness levels, with modifications available to cater to different needs.
